I am a U.S. Air Force veteran and a current science teacher at Joliet Central High School in Joliet, IL. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Physics and an M.S. Ed. in Instructional Technology. The majority of my students come from low-income, diverse backgrounds which are underrepresented in science. My goal is to help more of those students find their way into STEM careers.
NSHSS is always looking to find ways to support our network of educators, especially those who are constantly looking to support their students. To help offset the financial burden, NSHSS is awarding fifteen (15) high school educators $500 grants to help provide additional opportunities to their students and classrooms.
