Ms. Samantha Brown has been teaching for 19 years. She teaches AP Biology, Honors Biology and Advanced Genetics & DNA Research at Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, GA. She is an enthusiastic educator with a passionate commitment to student achievement and the learning experience. She encourages her students to challenge themselves academically and to not seek outside sources of motivation. Ms. Brown believes that each person is born with unique talents that need to be identified then nurtured. She considers the time she spends with students outside of their learning environment her greatest contribution to education.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Brown enjoys DIY projects and reading. She can often be found in a bookstore reading books and sipping a cup of tea. Her favorite shows to watch are anything on HGTV.
NSHSS is always looking to find ways to support our network of educators, especially those who are constantly looking to support their students. To help offset the financial burden, NSHSS is awarding fifteen (15) high school educators $500 grants to help provide additional opportunities to their students and classrooms.
