Timeka's life purpose has been to mentor, motivate, encourage, and inspire the lives of those she crosses daily. Her goal is to offer a unique learning experience where minds are filled with knowledge and hearts are filled with love. Known as "Ms. Ross" by her students and "Coach Ross" by her former track and field athletes, Timeka feels blessed beyond measure. Each day she awakes, Timeka knows her purpose has not been fulfilled and is grateful for another day. She is also a proud mother of one son who is also enrolled in college.
Originally hailing from the Windy City of Chicago, IL., Timeka actually calls California, where she attended high school, home! She has been fortunate to teach throughout the Blackbelt areas of Alabama and placed educational roots in Montgomery, Uniontown, Marion, Valley Grande, and Selma. Timeka credits these opportunities to the illustrious Alabama State University, where she earned her Bachelor's of English and Master's degrees in English and Educational Administration. She is now enrolled at Liberty University with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction.
Over the past 23 years of teaching, Timeka has impacted students' lives and been impacted by students, and she does not plan to stop anytime soon! Timeka currently teaches AP English Language, Composition 10, Journalism 11, and AVID for seniors at Valdosta Early College Academy in Valdosta, Georgia.
Timeka is grateful for the journey her teaching path has provided. She feels blessed and thankful for her village- family, friends, students, coworkers, and church family.
