Vanessa Radice

Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High
Miramar, FL
Vanessa Radice has taught for the past 20 years at a Title I school for various disabilities. Teaching has been her calling since she was young, and helping others fulfills her daily. Vanessa has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Special Education. She also has a second Master's in Psychology, allowing her to become a licensed Mental Health Therapist. For the past four years, Vanessa has been privileged to embark on a new challenge- working with students in the modified program, meaning they have an IQ less than 70 with either Autism or Intellectual Disabilities. After attending many workshops and conferences, Vanessa has noticed a need to start a Life Skills and Sensory room for the program, which has 90-plus students. Vanessa looks forward to using the grant funds to help build the life skills/sensory room.
