NSHSS Summer Break: Disney & Universal Tour 2022

NSHSS members celebrated summer break at Disney & Universal!!

At the end of the 2022 school year, NSHSS wanted to celebrate our members and all of their accomplishments by taking a group of students on a memorable vacation in Orlando, Florida!

NSHSS members and their guests started their summer break off with a bang on an exciting five day trip to Disney World and Universal Studios! Some students were celebrating their graduation and some just wanted to celebrate completing another year of high school or college, but for everyone, it was the perfect time to take a break from school and let loose with back-to-back days of adventure at each of these three parks:

Students took part in Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration and explore the magical movie worlds at Universal Studios with NSHSS!

Rainforest Café

DAY ONE welcome dinner at Rainforest Café in Disney Springs! NSHSS members met each other for the first time and took a picture in front of the restaurant's fire-shooting volcano waterfall before heading in for an immersive dinner experience! Ameenah (pictured on the right) took over the NSHSS Instagram for the entire tour week to share an inside look on what it was like to attend the Disney & Universal tour from her POV. Universal Studios - Park Hopper

Day two - ONE day TWO parks! Tour attendees had access to both Universal Studios AND Islands Of Adventure and all of the excitement that came with them!

Students immediately made friends with each other and had free reign to explore the parks together all afternoon!

It was so cool to walk through the movie studio worlds in Universal!

Hogwarts Express

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure were connected through an interactive ride on the Hogwarts Express!

Harry Potter World

Students loved trying the famous Harry Potter Butterbeer in Hogsmeade Village!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

We ended the day watching an amazing lightshow on the Hogwarts Castle!

Disney World - Hollywood Studios

DAY TWO in Hollywood Studios! The tour group came together for a group picture before racing off to get in line for Tower of Terror!

The iconic Hollywood Tower Hotel was so cool to see in person!

Star Wars

While some tour participants started with Tower of Terror, others raced to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to check out the new attractions!

It was so awesome to see the 50th anniversary update to Cinderella's castle!

First stop, Adventureland for the Disney World classics, Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean!

What a cool opportunity to go inside the iconic Disney castle and meet Cinderella!

Magic Kingdom Fireworks

We ended the day watching a lightshow on the castle with an insane fireworks show behind it! What an amazing grand finale of the tour!
