The National Society of High School Scholars continues to update its COVID-19 event policies, based on developments with event venues, hotels, and local and national public health and safety experts, including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).

Our plan to ensure the health and safety of all NSHSS event attendees is as follows:

Flexible Refunds – NSHSS offers a full refund of event tickets for any attendee that submits proof of a positive COVID-19 test. NSHSS will gladly reimburse your ticket cost to an Eventbrite credit to use towards any future NSHSS event or transfer the ticket to another event we currently have available for registration. We urge that any ticket holders do not attend NSHSS events if you have been exposed to COVID-19.

Cleaning and Sanitization – NSHSS coordinates cleaning and sanitation efforts with each event venue. Please refer to the website of each event venue to review their specific sanitization policies.

Personal Hygiene – Hand sanitizer stations will be provided throughout event venues. Basic hygiene and health protocol signage will be visible throughout the event.

Event Distancing/Crowd Management – NSHSS event staff will develop attendee movement plans to minimize congestion for ingress/egress. NSHSS asks that attendees be mindful of their surroundings and take personal responsibility for following social distancing guidelines.

Elevators – The number of individuals riding in an elevator may be limited, with priority given to attendees with disabilities.

Mutual respect and Consideration – While this is an evolving situation, NSHSS will continue monitoring it and immediately provide any important updates. Thank you in advance for extending grace to each other as we all navigate unprecedented territory.
