NSHSS is pleased to announce Kings College London as its new collaborating University. Founded in 1829 by King George IV, King's College London is one of the top 20 universities in the world (2014 QS international world rankings), The Sunday Times ‘Best University for Graduate Employment 2012’ and the fourth oldest in England. It is a research-intensive university based in the heart of London with over 25,000 students from 150 countries.
King’s has a distinguished history and an innovative atmosphere. Offering cutting edge research and globally respected teaching and learning across a wide range of subjects. The College consists of nine schools of Study: Arts & Humanities; Biomedical Sciences; the Dental Institute; Law; Medicine; Nursing & Midwifery; Natural and Mathematical Sciences; the Institute of Psychiatry, and Social Science & Public Policy.
King’s students have an active student life with access to over 250 student-led sports clubs, societies and activity groups.
King’s has a long tradition of welcoming students from the US, with over 1,000 American students studying at King’s each year across all levels and over 5,000 active alumni across the US. In 2012 King’s established a permanent office in the US in order to provide increased support to our students and alumni. The office is located in Alexandria, Virginia, within the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area.
